The challenge
January delivered 4.29M page views and returned just 26 bookings — volume was never the constraint, conversion was. A prior spike to ~375 bookings had also collapsed back to near-zero, proving the ceiling was higher than the account was hitting.
The approach
Rebuilt the buy around intent — placements matched to active travel-research context instead of raw page-view volume. Bookings scaled 26 → 181 → 760 across January to March, with April trading a lower absolute number for a better rate per page view.
What we did
01Diagnose the flat lineEight months of high page views and near-zero bookings isolated as a placement-quality problem, not a volume one.
02Rebuild around intentPlacements matched to active travel-research context rather than broad reach.
03Scale the recovery26 → 181 → 760 bookings across January, February and March 2025.
04Trade volume for rateApril delivered 405 bookings from less than half March's page views — a better per-view conversion.
